Frequently asked questions

What grades do you offer, and what are the age requirements?
St Francis College offers a continuous education from Grade RRR through to Grade 12, across our Preschool (RRR–R), Preparatory School (Grades 1–6) and High School (Grades 7–12). Age cut-offs apply at each entry point. Contact our admissions team and we'll confirm your child's eligibility based on their date of birth.
What documents do I need to apply?
You'll typically need a certified copy of your child's birth certificate, their most recent school report, and proof of your residential address. Our admissions team will confirm the full document checklist when you enquire.
How long does the admissions process take?
From enquiry to offer typically takes two to three weeks, depending on availability and any assessments required. We recommend applying as early as possible, as spaces in popular grades fill up quickly.
Is there a waiting list?
Some grades do fill up during the year. If your preferred grade is at capacity, we'll add your child to our waiting list and be in touch as soon as a space opens up. Contact us to register your interest.
When are fees due?
School fees are payable by the 1st of each month over 12 months. The once-off entrance fee is due on registration, and the annual re-enrolment fee is payable before 31 October each year to secure your child's place for the following year.
Do you offer aftercare?
Yes. Aftercare is available for Grade R to Grade 11 learners, Monday to Friday until 18:00. The programme includes homework supervision, computer class, arts and culture, structured physical activities and lunch. View aftercare fees or contact us for enrolment details.
Are you accredited?
Yes. St Francis College is UMALUSI-accredited, providing a nationally recognised education from Grade RRR through to Grade 12.
How do I arrange a visit?
Get in touch via our Contact page or call 010 035 0947 to book a visit. We'd love to show you around.
